• Thirty years of experience in Government of India working in responsible positions involving projects, policy issues, administration and establishment matters relating to Ministerial, Public sector Undertakings, Attached Offices, Statutory Bodies and Cooperative Societies. Also worked at Federal and Provincial levels.
• Eight years combined experience as Joint Secretary to Government of India, Director and Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Minister of Defence – overseeing work and files relating to all Cabinet, Group of Ministers and connected aspects, deputation abroad cases relating to Ministry and other Defence Force personnel from Army, Navy & Air, Parliamentary matters/questions, VIP cases and also work assigned by Hon’ble Defence Minister
• Twenty years of experience in preparing reports and documents on various subjects. Prepared Briefs and cabinet notes for National Thermal Power Corporation, Board Notes, Thermal Policy, Annual Reports, Energy Conservation Bill, National Energy Conservation Awards, Energy Management Centre ( now called Bureau of Energy Efficiency), Bureau Of Indian Standards, (BIS), Consumer Welfare Fund (CWF), Public Distribution System. Represented in the Final Energy Environment Advisory Group meeting (PACE-E) organized by UNDP/ESCAP at Thailand.
• Handled legal issues under Essential Commodities Maintenance Act (ECMA), Prevention of Black Marketing Act, finalized and filed affidavits, presented Government cases before High Courts and Supreme Court.
• Three years’ experience as Additional Private Secretary to Minister in the Ministry of Food and Civil Supplies. The work involves assisting the Minister and coordination with Officers and Other Ministries in collecting and coalition of information, preparation of notes and briefs in time bound manner on various subjects.
• Handled Administrative, Establishment & Right to Information aspects in Union Public Service Commission having about 2100 employees. Also overseen the work as Drawing and Distributing Officer handling budget and vigilance aspects in the Directorate of Vanaspati.
• Ten years as in charge of various policy branches/sections relating to Civil Supplies and Public distribution involving Directorate of Vanaspati, Vegetable Oils and Fats, Indian Standards Institution (now Bureau of Indian Standards), Commissioner of Payments Office dealing with Amritsar Oil Works, Edible Oils Policy Division and as Drawing and Disbursing Officer.
• Eight years of extensive research / teaching experience. Conducted experiments and did research in fields like Forage plants, Field bean and also regarding Energy conservation in Power Sector. It involves planning, choosing appropriate designs, analysis and interpretation of field data. Also taught Graduate and Post Graduate students as Assistant Professor in a University.
