I am an agricultural scientist, agronomist (geneticist), lawyer, academic, career senior federal civil servant and a published author.
After earning my PhD at the age of 27, I began my career as an Assistant Professor at a university. Subsequently, I entered the Government of India through the Civil Services Examination (CSE) of 1982. I held the position of Joint Secretary to the Government of India and served in various capacities within the Ministry of Defence, including postings in the Department of Defence (DoD) and the Department of Defence Production (DDP).
I have 30+ years of experience in Government of India working in responsible positions involving projects, policy issues, administration and establishment matters relating to Ministerial, Public sector Undertakings, Attached Offices, Statutory Bodies and Cooperative Societies. I have also worked at Federal and Provincial levels.
